Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser; "local storage" is a related mechanism the browser uses to remember information on your device. Dinify uses both to run the site, remember your preferences and — only with your consent — to measure our marketing. Analytics and marketing cookies never load until you click Accept on our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time (see the bottom of this page).

1. Strictly necessary (always on)

These are required for the site and the Dinify apps to work. They can't be switched off.

  • Authentication token — keeps you signed in.
  • Session — maintains your active session while you use the app.
  • Cart contents — remembers what a diner has added to their order.
  • CSRF / XSRF protection — a security token that guards against cross-site request forgery.
  • Cookie-consent choice — remembers whether you accepted or declined, so we don't ask again.

2. Functional

These remember choices you make to give you a smoother experience.

  • Language preference — the language you chose to read the menu or app in.
  • Selected table number — the table you're ordering from.
  • Restaurant context — which restaurant you're currently viewing or ordering from.

3. Analytics & marketing (consent required)

These only load after you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you decline, they never load.

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook) — measures the performance of our advertising so we can understand which ads bring visitors to the site. It only loads after you accept.

4. Third-party services

Some features rely on trusted third parties, which may set their own cookies when you use them:

  • Stripe — processes payments securely.
  • Firebase — verifies phone numbers (for example, takeout OTP).
  • Google Fonts — serves the site's typeface.

5. What we do not use

We do not use Google Analytics, and we do not perform cross-site tracking beyond the Meta Pixel described above.

6. Changing your choice

You can change your cookie choice any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Selecting it clears your stored choice and re-shows the cookie banner so you can accept or decline again.

7. More information

For how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy. For our security practices, see our Security & privacy page.
